2023 Eurovision Mural Characters my little vinyl character is not only an obvious representation of music in our city, their back story goes to the Liverpool docks, where music entered the city on records from America and further afield… Particularly music of Black origin, bringing Rhythm and blues, funk, soul and gospel to UK shores through smuggled records to the Liverpool docks… giving music to south end underground clubs, and inspiring musicians and culture to this day…making Liverpool a melting pot of music and bringing soul to the Liverpool sound
